# Updated CCIE numbers

Though CCIEs are members of an exclusive group, they can be found in countries on every continent. Here are the latest statistics as of November 14, 2007:

## Total Worldwide CCIEs: 15,658

Breakdown by Track:
- Routing and Switching CCIEs: 14,329
- Security CCIEs: 1,207
- Service Provider CCIEs: 650
- Storage Networking CCIEs: 99

## Multiple Certifications

Many CCIEs have gone on to pass the certification exams in additional tracks, becoming a "multiple CCIE." Below are selected statistics on CCIEs who are certified in more than one track.

Total with multiple certifications worldwide: 1,344

These numbers demonstrate both the exclusivity of the CCIE certification and the growing trend toward multiple specializations within the networking field.
