description: "A vibrant and lively scene at a tech-themed gathering in a spacious, industrial-style bar. The foreground features a diverse group of enthusiastic attendees, each with a laptop open, actively engaged in coding and discussions. In the center, a large, detailed mural depicts a chain made of digital code, symbolizing connectivity and data privacy, with subtle motifs of locks and keys. Around the room, banners of LangChain and AI technology logos add a colorful backdrop. Some attendees hold glasses of beer, celebrating their progress and collaborations, while others are deep in thought, plotting their next moves in notebook coding sessions. The atmosphere is electric, filled with the buzz of conversation and the clinking of glasses, perfectly capturing the essence of innovation and community interaction."

## **Join the Austin LangChain Users Group Hacky Hour at Central Machine Works for an Evening of Coding, Networking, and Fun!**

🚀 **Greetings LangChain Hackers!** 🍻

We're thrilled to invite you to a special Hacky Hour hosted by the Austin LangChain Enthusiasts Meetup Group. This casual gathering is the perfect opportunity for AI and LangChain enthusiasts to come together, hack on labs, and share knowledge in a relaxed and supportive environment.

### **Event Details**

* **Date and Time:** Wednesday, April 17th, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
* **Location:** Central Machine Works, 4824 E. Cesar Chavez St., Austin, TX 78702
* **Description:** Join us for a night where technology meets community, and where your ideas can shine through coding and collaboration.

### **What to Expect**

* **Open Lab Time:** Our core group will be actively working on LangChain projects from the get-go. Feel free to dive into your own work or collaborate with others on exciting LangChain applications.
* **Networking:** This is a golden chance to meet and connect with fellow LangChain enthusiasts in the Austin area. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, there’s something for everyone.

### **Challenges for the Night**

* **First Challenge:** Demonstrate a creative use of Runnable’s integrated with LCEL. The best clear, easy-to-understand notebook presentations will earn extra points.
* **Second Challenge:** Show us how you can control the release of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) using LangChain. This challenge is your chance to shine by presenting responsible data management solutions.

### **Beer Contest: Sip as You Code**

One of the highlights of the evening will be our Beer Contest. We will be giving out rounds of beer—or non-alcoholic options for those who prefer—at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM to attendees who impress us with their coding prowess. It's not just about the beer; it's about showcasing your skills and learning from each other in a friendly environment.

### **Prizes**

Two rounds of beers (or non-alcoholic beverages) are up for grabs for the most compelling examples. The first round at 7:00 PM, followed by the second at 8:00 PM.
